Post Concussion Syndrome
Post concussion syndrome is when you have an accident and then afterwards you or others notice changes.
The brain can suffer damage from internal or external sources.
- Internal : falling down, traffic accidents, assaults, sports injuries.
- External : stroke, anoxia, infection, tumor, surgery.
MRI and CAT scans are often normal after any kind of jolt to the head. But the effects can be devastating to the person and to those in their lives. Symptoms can lead to any of a wide variety of physical, cognitive and emotional symptoms.
Headaches, migraines, visual disturbances, dizziness/loss of balance, seizures, nausea, loss of smell, sensitivity to light and sounds, fatigue, tinnitus (ringing ears).
Emotional / Psychosocial Symptoms
Emotional Volatility, Impulsivity & Irritability, Low Frustration Tolerance, Anxiety & Depression, Personality Changes, Lack of Social Interest, Insomnia.
Difficulty thinking, memory problems, attention deficits, memory loss, poor attention/concentration, learning issues, getting lost or confused, slowness in thinking, communication difficulties.
Sometimes most or all of these symptoms will go away on their own. Too often, though, they linger while you wait for a full recovery. Do not wait. You want your life back the way it used to be. You want no more of these annoying distractions and limitations. You want to continue normal living. Neurofeedback can help. Training brain waves accelerates the restoration of your cognitive, emotional, and physical functions. Nearly everyone sees sharp gains in some important area of their lives within 5-8 sessions when they come more than once a week.
Did you know that victims of a brain injury are now more vulnerable to the next brain injury? The same intensity of impact will have an even worse effect on your life. Neurofeedback can also protect you from future insults.

We’ll talk briefly on the phone or chat via email and then set up a time to meet. Neurofeedback does not require pills or excessive amounts of talk, and it’s a great option for those who want something more.
